Spring is finally here!  With better weather and new season, our team hopes to convert our digital space into something a good deal more interactive. Please stay time for details! As always, Michelle would love to hear from you about how to make this space more attentive to community needs!

We are actively recruiting Black women farmers in the continental United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands  to participate in our photojournaling project highlighting their work and role, starting in October 2017. Please email contact Michelle at for more information on how to participate.

Calling all brujas, root workers, curanderas and witches: On June 9th, we will be exploringemore esoteric forms of community resustence at our daylong  Old Ways, New Age: Reclaiming Pre-colonial Plant-based Remedies and Applications at Connecticut College in New London. All believers and nonbelievers are welcomed at this table!

Get your Freekum Dress ready!  Hidden Acres Farm, Inc. will be hosting its first gala fundraiser at the gorgeous Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, Connecticut. Tickets and programming are available on our event page for purchase now.

In late June of 2018, we will be hosting at the Omni Hotel and Gateway Community College of New Haven, the region’s first Where Women Gather: A Celebration of Women in Agriculture Annual Conference and Vendor Symposium.  This year’s theme will be “Women, Intersectionality and Food Systems.” More information, including vendor and attendee registration, will be posted on this website or the link above.
